These terms govern your use of the Game Maps IRL mobile application and this website, both operated by MapleByte ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Safety — please read this one

Game Maps IRL is a navigation aid, not a substitute for your own attention. You are responsible for operating your vehicle safely and lawfully at all times. Always obey road signs, signals, road markings and local traffic law, and do not follow a route instruction that would be unsafe or illegal. Do not interact with the app while driving; configure your route before you set off or use in-car voice guidance.

Map data, road closures, traffic conditions and speed limits can be incomplete or out of date. We do not warrant that any route is safe, legal, passable, or suitable for your vehicle.

Licence

Subject to these terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, resell, or redistribute the app or its map styles, except where that restriction is prohibited by law.

Purchases and subscriptions

CONFIRM: describe exactly what is free, what is paid, whether paid access is a one-time purchase or a recurring subscription, the billing period, and how to cancel. If you sell a subscription, Apple and Google both require the price, period and renewal terms to be disclosed here and in the app before purchase. Purchases are processed by Apple or Google, and refunds are handled under their policies rather than ours.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the app in any way that breaks the law or endangers anyone;
• interfere with, overload or probe our systems or those of our providers;
• scrape, bulk-download or resell map data obtained through the app;
• circumvent any access control, licence check or paid feature gate.

Intellectual property

The app, its name, its interface, and its map styles are owned by us or our licensors. Map data is provided by third parties and remains subject to their terms.

Game Maps IRL is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Mojang Studios, CD Projekt Red, Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive, or any other game publisher. Map themes are original cartographic designs inspired by visual styles and contain no assets from any game. All third-party trademarks belong to their respective owners.

Third-party services

The app relies on third-party map, routing and platform services. We are not responsible for those services' availability, accuracy or conduct, and your use of them may be subject to their own terms.

Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the app. Our total aggregate liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 50. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or if we discontinue the app.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised terms, and the "last updated" date above will change.

Governing law

CONFIRM: insert the governing law and the courts that have jurisdiction, based on where MapleByte is registered.
